Made the years more readable on the collection page. Also updated the site with a few new cards that arrived in the last month. Other than that, since Tony hasn't played since he was released, there isn't much news to post.

Added a search page to the site. Nothing too special, but it may help find anything you may be looking for regarding the site.

Tony Clark had some inkling that the news was coming, but it still was difficult to take.

The veteran first baseman was told following Sunday's game that he was being released by the D-backs after hitting .182 with four home runs and 11 RBIs in 36 games this year.

The D-backs on Wednesday placed first baseman Tony Clark (strained hand ligament) on the 15-day DL.

Clark has been playing with the injury since the final week of Spring Training, and it has particularly bothered him while swinging left-handed. The big first baseman is 5-for-28 (.179 AVG) with two homers this year.

Getting the start at first base, Tony Clark went 2-for-4 pair with a pair of homers for three RBIs in a 9-8 Opening Day win over Colorado.

Arizona's decision to sit third baseman Mark Reynolds and start Clark paid major dividends. Clark won't play regularly this season, but he could easily exceed the 151 at-bats of last year if he can continue flashing this kind of power.

This arrived today and is prompty scanned and stored in a safe place, #0010/0030.

Nothing really new to add lately, but I have updated the My Collection section with a few new cards that arrive over the past month. 2 cards that really outshine the maildays would have to be the 1999 Topps Finest Gold Refractor and the 1997 Flair Legacy Collection Row 2, which were sent to me with nothing expected in return. Thanks again to those that have sent cards to me, I haven't forgotten about you!

And now, it's finally home, safe and sound in my collection once again.

First, I'm STILL sorting and scanning cards as they come in from various sources.

Second, I received some great news today! I submitted my 1998 Donruss Crusade Green Tony Clark to BGS for grading last month and it appears the card received an overall grade of 9.5. I'm very excited to see that, considering it's the only card to receive that grade, as well as being the highest grade out there.

Other than that, nothing much has been going on here during the off season!

I simply cannot say thank you enough to the various board members over at Freedom Card Board. Without them, I would not have the amount of Game Used and Autograph cards that I have in my collection now. I just wanted to take a moment and publicy thank them. Words can't express my thanks for their generosity.

Today is the day I received my 250ct lot of Tony Clark cards. While there were a lot of duplicates (7 1994 Bowman's Best, for example), I did get about 150 cards that I didn't have already. So far, I'm only going through 1997-1998 and the results have been posted on my collection page.

I'll be going through the lot in the next few days/weeks and once I get them sorted, I will begin to scan and add them to the site.

Last of all, on Saturday I received a nice package from a member over at Freedom Card Board. Originally, I had mistaken the cards for the lot I received today, but as it turns out, they were unrelated. In that package however, was a nice 1/1 (and my first): a 2000 Stadium Club Yellow Printing Plate. Thanks, Walter, your generosity has not gone unnoticed.

Received a nice lot of 50 Pacific cards today. What makes these so special? Well, these cards were unreleased; more than likely meant as a replacement for various Pacific product releases from 1999-2001. After Pacific sold its trademark and inventory to Donruss, these cards surfaced in 2004 when Donruss auctioned off the inventory. Many cards in this lot are missing the serial # in the box that was to used for that purpose.

Are these cards worth tons of money? Probably not. However, my collection isn't meant to make me money; it's meant to bring a sense of completion for my commitment to collecting Tony Clark.

I will get these cards on the site in a little while, once I sort through them and take an inventory of what I have in my possession.

In the next week or so, I'm expecting a box of approximately 250 cards of Tony Clark. While I'm sure there will be duplicates, I was told there were inserts as well as the possibility for serial #d cards, game used, and so on.

So until that box is in my hands and sorted, I'm going to hold off on responding to any offers that may come in. That way I can concentrate on getting the cards sorted and scanned, as well as avoid duplicates. Thanks!

I've had a few emails regarding cards I may need for my collection, and I'd like to take a minute and talk about that.

Currently, I'm looking for the cards I have listed as "wanted" on my collection page. However, if you have any cards from 1997 until now that you want to get rid of, feel free to send me a message with what you have. I will get back to you and let you know if I need the card(s). I'm trying to go through the rest of my cards and see what I have and what I still need, plus get them listed and scanned. It will take some time, but I will get there eventually. Any help would be appreciated in tracking down cards I need!
